⏰ SOONER > LATER
Meaningful college coaching starts anytime. The earlier students begin, the MORE OPPORTUNITIES they create:
⏰ NINTH + TENTH GRADE Younger high-schoolers lay the groundwork for college applications. The cost of “waiting” can be high: Younger students make strategic choices about courses, extracurriculars, and summer activities that are just as important as choices made junior or senior year. They compose initial resumes and schedule standardized testing. They begin considering courses of study and kinds of colleges. They visit campuses. They arrive at senior year well-prepared for the application process.
⏰ ELEVENTH + TWELFTH GRADE Older high-schoolers benefit from more intensive coaching. (Note to anyone feeling a bit behind: Starting work today > “just applying” + “seeing what happens.”) Juniors and seniors create lists of colleges and finalize resumes. They complete the Common Application and school-specific applications. They gather recommendations and prepare for interviews. They may speak with college athletic coaches or activity directors. They apply for scholarships and honors programs. They compare offers and make final decisions.
✅ Most students apply to college ONLY ONCE in life
